Choosing a master of photography is a challenging assignment. Bill Brandt attracted me because of his outright refusal to fall into the Nazi ways that were sweeping his country as a child and then again with his use of light in his pictures. I enjoy night photography very much because I feel that is a rich and vibrant time especially under the light of a full moon. He experimented with nude photos and did landscapes and portraits with equal skill. I like the fact that he never settled on one style but rather experimented with multiple styles throughout his career. Here are few of his pics that first drew me in.
